Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
How I Met the Four Green Ninjas

I've loved the Turtles since as far back as I can remember. I have no idea how I was introduced to them. I think my first memory of the Turtles was watching the Saturday morning cartoon while eating my Turtles breakfast cereal (yes, there was such a thing!).

However, I think my main Turtles influence was the Archie comics series that ran for several years. I loved that series to death, and still do. If you've never read those comics, then I pity you because there's not much of a chance for you to anymore. I'm sad that it ended, because several threads with Null and Shredder were left unresolved, but the comic really had been declining in quality after everybody started dieing. However, characters like Ninjara have a special place in my heart (which is why I included her in "The Genastone").

I honestly now own every single Archie Turtle comic made, except for the movie adaptations if you want to get technical. Unfortunately, this collection is worth almost nothing, since I decided for some extremely odd reason when I was younger to take markers and COLOR my comics! I persisted in this until about issue #50. Therefore, most of my comics have crap value, but they still suffice for general reading!

Of course, I enjoyed the TV show as well. I remember when the show art was revamped, H.A.V.O.C., that kid who turned into a mutant, when Raph's voice actor changed, the arrival of Dregg, the persistence of Dregg, and even the last episode of the old series. I LOVE the new FoxBox show, especially because it goes back to the original comic roots (which I recommend doing; it's quite amazing).

And for the record, Raphael is my favorite Turtle. I just love his sarcastic and rough attitude. Perhaps that's why I beat up on him so much in my stories, because I know he can take it. I feel the least sure about Leo, because not much was really defined about his character other than that he's the leader. And I always think of the Turtles in this order: Leonardo, Michelangelo, Donatello, and Raphael.
